More About Coach Leandra
I have worked as head coach for DC Sport Club Youth Soccer Program since April of 2021, teaching fundamentals to ages 3-8 years old. I also worked as an assistant coach for Central Kentucky Youth storm from February of 2018-March of 2020 for age groups 6-10 years old. During my time in Kentucky, I also led private agility and speed training sessions, as well as 1-on-1 sessions to improve coordination and accuracy with the ball. Through DC Soccer Club, I have completed the SportSafe Training Certification.
I played for the Centre College Women's D3 Soccer Program. In my freshman and senior year, we were Elite Eight in the NCAA D3 Women's Soccer Tournament. In high school, I was captain of my varsity team for 2 years and achieved MVP for two years in a row. I also competed in the ECNL division during my high school career.
One of the most important skills that differentiate me from other coaches, is the importance of learning agility and dexterity. While also competing as a soccer player, I was also a semi-professional ballet dancer. The skills I learned from that translated directly to my ability as a soccer player. My training sessions always begin with dynamic stretching, then we focus on basic skills (ball control, movement with the ball, etc.). I then move to game strategy and field awareness, coaching on how to better position a player, review game film (if available), and position specific drills. At the end of my sessions, we focus on agility and speed. I find that players develop much better (and safer!) practicing these skills at the end of sessions.

Leandra is a great coach. She is super positive and supportive using dynamic drills to simulate game conditions. She has been such a great help- my daughter really appreciates her and feels like her playing has truly improved.

Leandra’s first visit with my daughter was excellent. She quickly observed my daughter’s current states, and got her focused on skills. My daughter related extremely well to her new coach and was very complimentary about how easy it was to follow her instruction. Looking forward to more sessions!
