More About Coach Lauren
I have experience working as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at D1 Training and Redline Athletics, where I coach athletes and general fitness clients through performance-based strength, speed, agility, conditioning, and injury-prevention focused training. I’ve worked with athletes ranging from youth beginners to high school, club, and collegiate-level athletes across multiple sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, track & field. I typically work with athletes from around 6 years old through the collegiate level, with programming adjusted to their age, experience, sport, position, and individual goals. I am VertiMax certified, which has given me additional education in resistance-based training methods designed to improve athletic performance, including speed, power, agility, and explosiveness.
2x High school soccer state champion at Kennedale High school. Competed 2 years at the Collegiate level at University of Texas Permian Basin women’s soccer program.
A typical session with me is focused on helping athletes become stronger, faster, more explosive, and more confident in the way they move.
I usually start with a dynamic warm-up and movement prep to get the body ready for the session. From there, we move into our performance work, which can include acceleration and deceleration, change of direction, footwork, coordination, plyometrics, reaction drills, and explosive movements depending on the athlete and their sport.
After that, we transition into strength training. I focus heavily on building a strong foundation through compound movements, single-leg strength, stability, power, and accessory work that supports the athlete’s individual needs. We’ll typically finish with core work or conditioning.
Technique is a big focus throughout the entire session. I don’t want an athlete to just complete a drill, I want them to understand how to move efficiently, control their body, produce force, and eventually perform those movements at game speed.
Every athlete is different, so sessions are adjusted based on their age, sport, training experience, current season, strengths, and areas that need improvement. The goal isn’t just to make them tired. It’s to make every part of the session intentional so that what we do in training actually helps them become a better athlete.
