More About Coach Kyle

Sport junkie who will never settle on former playing career as the standard for coaching committed athletes; sports evolve and I keep pace. I take pride in my resilient preparation to give athletes the development and coaching they deserve.

I continuously grow through research, workshops, and mentorships from highly respected coaches, physical therapist and doctors. I also practice what I preach and study a significant amount of film; no stone goes unturned.

Without question athletes will elevate their confidence and skill, but that’s not the whole shebang. Film study is a must in performance development. Players need to learn the game. One similarity amongst the greatest players is high IQ. Jordan, Kobe, Tom Brady, Jerry Rice – all students of the game.

Certifications: provided upon request

Sports have been my life since day one, competing in organized football, basketball and baseball. I also had a high volume of exposure to all sports through pick-up games.

3 sport high school athlete - football, basketball and baseball

To this day, I still consistently compete in pick-up games

As previously stated, I am a student of sport. I am obsessed with developing my game and athleticism through research, film study and practice, which has paid huge dividends in my ability to help all athletes reach their full potential.

Speed, agility, and jump power is about understanding how the body works and its interplay with the ground. Speed development is a rapidly evolving industry. I keep pace with research, workshops, and mentorships from highly respected coaches and physical therapists. With confidence, I believe all athletes can develop speed and efficient biomechanics without being over coached. Our speed, agility and jump development is built from rhythm, coordination and foot function.

Typical session:
Warm up: 5-10 min
- variations of skips, gallops and jumps
- Athletic movements specific to athlete’s sports
- Drills to create stable, but flexible feet
- A foot is comprised of 26 bones, 33 joints & 100+ muscles, tendons and ligaments (big deal)

Speed Drills: 5-10 min
- Tempo sprints with constraints to manipulate athlete’s use of better mechanics
- Example: single arm running to better feel arm action

Sprints: 10-15 min
- Full speed, timed sprints
- Develop maximum velocity and acceleration

Plyometrics: 10 min
- Various jump drills emphasizing height and quick ground contacts
- Develop jump technique with various take offs (single leg, double leg)

Agility: 5-10 min
- Competitive drills in an unpredictable environment forcing athletes to react to a stimulus
- Drills are general athletic agility and sport specific

Recovery: 5-10 min
- Improved breathing, flexibility and body awareness

Speed training is very demanding of the body due to the high speed of movement with maximum effort; over training impacts performance negatively. We time every sprint for workload management. To preserve the athlete’s energy and still enable multiple reps, sprint drills are performed at submaximal effort.

Client Reviews

Kyle is giving my 11 yr old son 1:1 basketball lessons. He continues to teach him some great basketball skills in addition giving some strength and agility pointers as well. Kyle's a great fit for what my son needs and would recommend him to anyone looking for that extra edge.

Coach Kyle is great with kids and is very knowledgeable about all things football!

Kyle has been really great for our 9yo. Not only helping him improve his beginning basketball skills, but really helping with his confidence.

Did a great job with my kids! They loved it

Has great communication with his clients, really understands what they want done and does his best to provide. Only problem is lack of space when training but other than that a great program.

My daughter has loved her first two sessions, she can’t want for her next session. Alexus said he is very friendly, informative and directs instruction very well.
Alexus is very satisfied thus far.

Kyle is very knowledgeable and we appreciated the fact that he does performance assessment via testing AND visual observation. His eyes see a lot and his analysis was right on re: our son’s areas of improvement. One thing I noticed quickly is that kids come motivated to work. Kyle’s serious about hard work but the kids seem to have fun while they put their hard hats on.

Super awesome! My son loves him and loves the training. He asked to do it everyday!

Kids enjoyed their session with him.

Good advice in a small group training. Fun personality. Present during training.

Coach Kyle made a great first impression with my son! My son was sweating and excited about his first day and was already asking when he could go back. Coach Kyle introduced certain techniques that I would never have thought to get my son doing. I look forward to what Coach Kyle has up his sleeve to help my son get to the next level! Thank you Coach Kyle!!

Coach Kyle makes it easy to train by targeting what the individual person’s improvement areas are. The training area is very clean and he makes sure to sanitize everything. I will continue training with him.

Coach Kyle was a great instructor. He was very helpful in pointing out the technique my daughter had been using with her shots and gave feedback on ways to improve.

Coach Kyle is doing great work with my friends son. Kyles knowledge of training and basketball has changed Danny approach to basketball as he was self taught. Kyle drives Danny tremendously and keeps him focused totally for each session and Danny comes away from each session with a better attitude and knowledge. We have booked for the 10 session schedule and due to the enthusiasm of Coach Kyle, his knowledge we will continue with further training.

Coach Kyle was a great coach very informative to my son and kept him focused the entire time. Also quick to respond and helpful with training session, we will be returning

I’ve worked with Kyle for a year and he has taught me how to work not just harder but smarter for my football and lacrosse seasons. Kyle’s training has improved my speed, flexibility and my vertical which has changed how I control my body when I run and move. Kyle’s coaching has made me excited to progress as an athlete.
For me, coming off a serious ankle injury and 6 months of not walking, Kyle really helped me get my explosiveness back. His workouts not only helped my speed and agility but also helped me to reach my goal of dunking a basketball. Overall, Kyle’s workouts have really brought my jumping abilities to the next level.
