More About Coach Korey

I've given pitching lessons for about 3 years now and have been a part of running softball camps at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs for 4 years. I usually work with young girls all the way to high school athletes. I am proficient in conditioning and strength training as well.

I played high school and club softball in Phoenix, Arizona for almost 10 years. At 16 I traveled to Italy to play on a junior USA team and and as a senior in high school was recruited to play at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs (NCAA Division II). I was a starting pitcher for 3 out of the 4 years, played outfield, and also batted. I received an all conference award for pitching in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and was team captain my senior year. I also graduated with a degree in Health Science which specializes in Sports Training and Conditioning. I've been playing softball for a total of 14 years and I would love to pass on my knowledge of the game to other players, and help them succeed in reaching their goals.

Typical pitching session would be an hour long, and the player needs to provide their own catcher. I use drills that focus on what the player wants to improve on and what she is struggling with at the time. Once we master some basic pitches using accuracy and movement, we can develop other types of pitches and focus on tougher drills that incorporate mental toughness (which is THE most important part in becoming a pitcher) and endurance. I am a big believer in the mental side of softball and I integrate that in my hourly lessons.

Daughter really liked her and felt comfortable. Said she was informative and really learned a lot. Will definitely recommend coach Korey.

Not only was Coach Korey knowledgeable and adept at delivering her subject matter content (pitching), but she did a great job of making my daughter feel comfortable in her first session and made it fun as well as productive. Very personable and knows her stuff.

We booked a single session with Korey while we were in town visiting family. My daughter had high school tryouts starting when we got home and she wanted a little help on her pitching. Korey was accommodating to our short notice schedule. We met for an hour and she was able to pick up on a few things that our daughter was struggling with. She made some adjustments without changing everything she had already been working on as her own pitching style. She did a great job interacting with our 14 year old daughter. She made her comfortable and offered her knowledge and tips that I believe to have been extremely helpful.

Coach Korey has been great!

Coach Korey is an excellent coach. She is great with my daughter. In one session she started to help my daughter with her mechanics in pitching, also while helping her develop mental toughness and a positive attitude. I would recommend Coach Korey to anyone looking for a coach to help with their own or their child's softball game.
