More About Coach Kevin

Coaching BIO
Spent three seasons at Brookfield East H.S. from 2010-2013 where we have qualified for the state tournament all three seasons. I am spent 2013 season working with the women as a goalkeeper coach at Arrowhead HS in Hartland, WI.
Spent the 2013, 14 and 2015 as an assistant/GK coach for the Cardinal Stritch men’s and women’s programs. .
Currently head coach of U-12 Boys Bavarian Blue team.
I have a passion for the game and have coached youth soccer for 12 years, ages 3-18. I am proud of the coaching I have received and the programs I have associated myself with. I have an understanding of technique as well as a patience to develop the technique needed to be a quality goalkeeper. Character and positive attitude contribute to much of the coach/player relationship. My experiences have allowed me to see the bigger picture and recognize when a player may be pushed to their limit and as a coach I need to change up and communicate to get on the same page. I am open to parent involvement and other club coaches being involved with training and goalkeeper development.

As a player in high school, I was second team Greater Metro Conference forward.
As a coach, I took the Brookfield East freshman boys to a 21-0 record in the fall of 2010.
I was an assistant coach at Brookfield East HS 2010,2011 and 2012 which all three seasons the boys went to the State Tournament.
I am currently an assistant coach at Cardinal Stritch University with the Men's and Women's teams. The men have won the conference regular season title, and have qualified for the NAIA national tournament. I am in my second year, Fall 2014.

PLAYER BIO
I am currently a member of the Bavarian Mens Major and PLA sides. In 2016 I was a member of the PLA West Division regular season champions and PLA Tournament Champions. I played a role in the Wisconsin Adult Soccer League Majors championship. I was a member of 2016 USASA Amateur Cup national finalists.

I played club soccer for Parkland SC and Milwaukee Simba Lions under Coach Jimmy Banks.
I played for the Rampage Super Y-League where we qualified for the national championships in Raleigh, N.C. in 2002. I was the starting Goalkeeper for the two seasons I played.
I was a four year varsity letter winner at West Allis Hale, played forward and was Second Team all greater metro conference as a senior. I graduated in 2003
I was a member of the 1984 WI ODP team from 2000-2002 as a GK.
I was a member of the UW-Milwaukee Club soccer team as the starting Goalkeeper all 4 years, served as Vice President of the club my junior and senior years. In those four years, we won the Great Lakes Conference championship every year. In my Junior and Senior years, we finished 2nd at the regional tournament. We qualified for the NIRSA national championships 3 of the 4 years, losing to eventual champions Indiana University in the national quarterfinals my junior year.
I have been a member of the Milwaukee Kickers Majors in Milwaukee the last three years. I have traveled and played in Mexico and Canada against college and 2nd division clubs.

I understand that not all young soccer players aspire to play at the highest level possible, and sometimes parents are looking for a positive influence in their children's lives. I can be that for them. Sessions don't have to focus solely on soccer, but can also be helpful with communication and help with a child's confidence.

I use a "from the ground up" approach. It's important to get to know the individuals you are working with and feed off their strengths and weakness's alike. As a goalkeeper, it is my belief that we are still soccer players, and it's equally important to possess the foot skills and knowledge of field positions, to be mindful of what field players go through on a play by play basis.

Session plans are centered around individual feedback and area's of wanted improvement. With time, these sessions will be catered to what I see as a coach, and what can be improved on to be put in play during matches. I have worked with groups of up to 8 goalkeeper's at once, and 1 on 1 sessions as well.
