Kerrie Tenboer

I was an assistant softball coach at Morrison High School for one year. I have given lessons to athletes for pitching and hitting and have helped with various youth softball programs and camps.

I competed at the collegiate level at Sauk Valley Community College and St Ambrose University. I played ASA from age 7-19. Finished 4th place at state in high school in 2007 and 3rd place in 2008. I was a captain and First Team All Regional at Sauk Valley Community College in 2010. Throughout high school and college, I was a catcher. My specialty was calling the games and focusing on base runners. I was also a 3rd baseman, 1st baseman, and pitched at a younger age. I have worked with players at every position and am very comfortable working with them at the position of their choice.

At a younger age, young players need to focus on the basic fundamentals of softball. It is important to get those down before moving onto more advanced moves and techniques. The older they get, the more the focus becomes on technique and proper forms. I will focus on specifics of what the athlete wants to work on and build from there. I will break down defense and offense and focus on the little aspects of playing a specific position or hitting.
