More About Coach Kelly

I coached club for 5 years for ELA soccer club of ages 7-12. I have my "D" License. The first three years I worked with the Arlington Aces where I coached the u9, u10, and u11 girls teams. In 2013, I was the Freshman Girls Coach at Streamwood High School. In 2011, I also worked summer camps for the Chicago Red Stars. Aside from coaching, I am also an elementary school teacher.

I played professional soccer in Brazil for Guerrerias das Tobacas from March 2012 to May 2012 where we won the state of Pernambuco’s championship. I played collegiate soccer at Western Illinois University from 2008-2011. In my time at WIU I made the Second Team All Conference in 2010 and WIU’s Forward of the Year in 2010. Before I transferred to WIU, I did play collegiate soccer at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I played two seasons. In my time at NSU I made the Sunshine State Conference All-Tournament Team in 2007.

Prior to setting up sessions, I like to sit down with the player to discuss with them what their goals are, so we can narrow down a focus and develop a plan. Depending on player discussion, age, position, and skill I will adapt and modify my sessions to meet Individual needs to ensure player development.

She focused on the small things that over time will improve the bigger areas. She was kind and considerate and make sure the drills were challenging and doable at the same time. She touched on a lot of aspects of the game which helped me improve on a variety of skills.
