I have been coaching in the San Joaquin Valley for the past three years. Most of my coaching experience has come from coaching club. I have been a head coach of three very successful power teams. This past season I was the head coach of a power 16's team. With this team we made Gold bracket at Far Westerns, placed top 10 in most tournaments, and competed in Championships for Regionals. I have coached all age groups from 12 and under all the way to 18 and under. I don't prefer any age because I believe that every player no matter how skilled can gain some type of knowledge to help them excel. Over my last few years of coaching I have received multiple rewards upon my success as a coach. I have coached numerous teams at both Xplosion and Spark Volleyball Club. I've also assisted Millenium High, West High, and many younger competitors from different elementary and middle schools.

I have been playing continuously for the past 8 years. During high school, I was team captain all four years, I received MVP all four years and I was also rewarded First and Second Team All League, San Joaquin All Area, Honorable Mention, and numerous Athletic Awards for the city of Tracy. After high school I continued on to play at Delta College. Within my years of competing there we have been conference champions twice, we made it to playoffs all years, and generally competed in the most competitive conference in Northern California. The last two year I was a team captain, I was selected as an All Conference Player. I've just recently finished competing at Delta and I am now looking to finish my last two years at a four year.

I always begin with asking what the player feels they struggle with. If it is my first time seeing this player I run them through a few basic drills such as hitting off a toss, free-ball and down-ball passing, and serving just to get a general idea of what skills they need to improve on. I am a firm believer in fitness and athleticism and how they can always help and never hurt your skill as a volleyball player. That being said, as my drills progress I incorporate a bit of conditioning in each drill. I also emphasize learning correct form and eliminating bad habits.
