More About Coach Josafat
I have over 25 years of general soccer experience with many of that having played at many levels including rec, youth, club, high school, community college, university, amateur, semi pro & even a bit of pro experience in futsal (can’t remember if the match i played was the first official match or a friendly vs a team from California). I’ve played in the U.S. , Mexico (as a youth) & Europe (3 month stint in the Netherlands & 38 days in Spain). I have personally trained individually many youth, high school, college, semi pros & even pro players (ex thorns player, ex national team player, ex Dutch first division league player [Eredivisie] and other semi pros that have played in the U.S. or in Europe) I also have experience as a team coach and I just finished coaching Inter Ohana in Oahu since October of 2024 with 2013b & I also coached at Ohana kids (ages 3-12). I also briefly was an assistant coach with HSC BULLS u19 in honolulu in which our team won the league & are qualified for the U.S. NATIONALS in Denver in which we are going to be competing in July thank God! Beforehand I was coaching U8s and U12s at PCU (Portland City United) in Oregon. I can work with 8 year olds up to any age! My oldest player was 30 when I started coaching him (he had 1-3 years of soccer experience at the time), I helped him go from a literal soccer beginner to playing semi pro indoor soccer in 2 years. I also have my U.S. Soccer federation grassroots soccer license on top of having my background check in good standing (that is why I could legally coach at a club like PCU & Inter Ohana). As a coach/trainer I have 15 years of experience!
Scouted to play with big first division academies while playing/living in Mexico as a youth, winning big local tournaments, winning many prestigious local leagues (amateur, collegiate & others), having had tried out with 100+ players in Tucson with a professional team & I made the top 30 who ended up playing against MLS side Sporting KC (In which my group was the only team to not lose, we tied 0-0 with many opportunities to win), I was also captain of my high school, co-MVP & top 8 players in the state my senior year. I have so many more honors & beautiful experiences I can name thank God but I’ll save that for another section if needed
A client/group can expect to get a custom made session that works whatever technical skills that are lacking in their game, on top of that I also make sure to work on the mental side & competitive side while we work together to improve their skills. I love to hit all aspects of the game in every session (passing, shooting, ball control, attack/defense, fitness, etc). I make sure you leave each session a better player and a more confident player with the ball. I also make sure we have FUN! With fun, you will never lose the love for the game and it’ll keep you out on the field every day! So that’s a summary of my sessions, we WORK EVERY ASPECT OF THE GAME, have fun & I will personally be competing with you to push you to new heights.
