More About Coach Jonas
I started coaching in 2012, when I took over the girls u-12 team back in Norway. I spent two full seasons with them, and though I loved the responsibility, I found myself thriving with developing individual players. Since then I've coached in Norway, the UK and the US, from girls u9 to boys u15. I have a very detailed approach on how to develop players, and prefer to get to know the individual I'm working with to see where we can improve. I focus on improving technique and understanding of the game, increasing the power, agility and balance of the player, and teaching them how to deal with the pressure of playing competitive games at any level.
I've played soccer since I was 5 years old, and started playing at a high level in Europe when I was 14. I played 5 seasons at a very high level in Norway, before travelling to the US at 21.
Firstly, we talk about strenghts and weaknesses. Then we consider positions, before we set up a session plan that will help you improve in real life - scenarios on the field. Session plans are tailored to the player and their needs, which makes it a lot more beneficial. One session we might work on speed, strength and finishing, and the next one we focus on technical ability and scanning.
In my experience, certain qualities are non-negotiable for players; hard work/effort, communication and attitude. Everything else falls into place if you are coachable and willing to work.

Client Reviews
Erik Hagen (Testimonial)
Jonas provided my kids with a specialized program, and we focused on speed and agility with my oldest; finishing and positioning with my youngest, and general play knowledge and muscle building for my twins. We have a great relationship to Jonas, and look forward to working with him in the future.
