John Arndt

I have been coaching soccer for the last 13 years. The last six years have been focused on training/coaching kids, mainly from Athens High School, in the off-season. I currently work as a Sports Director for my church implementing and organizing our soccer, basketball and t-ball leagues. I have worked with kids from age 3 to age 19. I currently hold my Michigan E license for soccer.

I was a four year varsity starter at Lutheran High North. 1st team All-State my senior year, scoring the game winner in the State Championship. I played one year of college soccer at Concordia Ann Arbor.

I will focus on dribbling, foot skills, passing, developing a important first touch, shooting technique and movement off the ball! I will instill the importance of having a strong mental mindset. The most important play is the next one! We will start out by getting to know each other, dynamic stretching, dribbling, passing and trapping (long balls and in tight spaces) then we will move on to movement off the ball. You, as a player, have the ball for 3 minutes per match. What you do the other 77 minutes is just as important
