More About Coach Jj

I have been coaching soccer for 20+ years. I have coached at all levels: youth, high school, and college. I have worked as a coach in several youth clubs in the Chicagoland area and have coached at State Championship, Regional Championship, and National Championship levels. I have coached over 75 players that have gone onto play at a collegiate level including players at the Division I level in the Big Ten. I currently hold a United States Soccer Federation 'B' license, a USSF National Youth License, and an NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.

I competed at the Division I college level at Valparaiso University where I was two-time All-Conference, Conference MVP, and All-Tournament team. I played in the old USISL briefly before coaching. In high school, I was two-time All-State in Illinois and also an NSCAA All-Midwest selection.

A typical session will include some technical work where we will work to be a master of that technique. We will clean up the details within the technique and continue to perfect it. Besides the technical work, we will work on methods to improve the cognitive process in making decisions. We will employ physical exercises to improve footwork, balance, and coordination during most exercises. Ultimately, each session will be tailored to meet the goals of the client.

JJ has coached all three of our children for many years. His knowledge of soccer on and off the field is exceptional. We find him to be an excellent communicator, coach, and mentor.
