Sessions will last between an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. A client can expect a positive and encouraging atmosphere. I am a patient and calm coach who appreciates hard work and enjoys and understands the process of becoming a better soccer player with each training season. I focus specifically on the fundamental skills of the game which is the most important aspect of soccer. A typical session with me will include warming up by doing volleys which involves me tossing the individual the ball to the inside of the athletes foot, top of the foot, chest, thigh, and ending the warmup with headers. We then move on to passing drills, with a focus on trying to use one and two touches on the ball to work on the athlete's speed of play. After passing, we move on to dribbling. Dribbling exercises involve the athlete dribbling through a set of cones and then finishing with a shot on goal. If the athlete has any particular skill that he/she would like to work on more I would be more than happy to accommodate.

JJ is a phenomenal coach. I am attending trials for the Armed Forces championship and was looking for someone to get me back in to the game quickly at a very competitive level. JJ tailored sessions for my needs and pushed me to work on my weaknesses. He has a natural ability to coach, instruct, and motivate at the same time. I requested high intensity training sessions from him and he more than delivered. He brought me back to the basics of the sport and have me much needed reminders on the fundamentals of the game- something I found incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend JJ for anyone looking to just begin the sport all the way to fine tuning already present skills.

P. Cox (Testimonial)
My son is 11 and has played competitive soccer for three seasons. Having moved up the ranks with his team, he played the latest two seasons on the club's top team. However, I always felt that he could further benefit from focused, individual training on fundamental ball skills. Enter our friend JJ Greer. I recognized JJ training with a young soccer player while my son was practicing. The drills they were working on together looked exactly what I had been hoping to find for my son. I was very impressed with how the drills progressed through the session focusing on several aspects of soccer fundamentals. When JJ finished his session I introduced myself and asked if he would be interested in taking on another player to train. We both agreed to give it a go and see how we wanted to move forward after an initial training session. What a great decision! Not only is JJ is a talented soccer player, he is a natural instructor. He started my son off with a discussion on how juggling is very helpful in ball touch and how conditioning is important so your mind can think about soccer and not being tired. They warmed up with ball touch drills, with the first couple of attempts proving a bit trying. Here I can highlight two, additional outstanding qualities JJ possesses in his eminence patience and most of all his belief in ALWAYS providing encouragement. As we continued to train, JJ evaluated my son's skills in the different drills and consistently added new drills to focus on passing with one and two touches as well as dribbling. JJ is mindful of not giving a player too much too fast and recognizes when a player is ready to move to other skill oriented drills such as volleys and shooting drills with focus on finishing after making a certain move or fake. Further, JJ wants his players to work with their dominant and less dominant legs and integrates that challenge into every training session. My son's coach, my family and I could all see the benefits of training with JJ in game situations as well as in practice. In game situations, my son's ball control and touch improved significantly which led to a new level of confidence. This new confidence through his training led to better decision making in games as well as several plays, and goals, with this non-dominant foot. In practice with his team my son encouraged other players to work on juggling and passing and adopted some of the drills used in his training. We feel very fortunate to have spent time training with JJ for several months. While we hated to see him leave Memphis, we were glad to see his hard work and dedication moving him to the next level (what a great lesson for a young player to observe.) I highly recommend training with JJ and he has my contact information should you like to reach out with any questions. Best Regards, Pat Cox - Memphis, TN

My 13 year old son is playing competitive club soccer and has really good coaches but we felt to get his game to the next level he needed 1 v 1 training. The results were immediate when he began working with JJ, even his coaches noticed. JJ has an advantage that most trainers and coaches do not have. His knowledge of the game and the fact that he is currently playing soccer at a high level and can perform the drills he is teaching at game speed. Seeing the drills done at such a high level really improved my son's foot speed. JJ also focus on the importance of communication on the field. My son is a quiet guy but since training with JJ he is more vocal when playing.
