More About Coach Jherson
My name is Jherson Suarez and I would love to continue gaining experience as a coach. I have been coaching soccer now for 5 years. I spent 2 years at Real Madrid Miami, and 3 years at Soccer 5 Academy at Tropical Park, where I am currently coaching. I have a Florida Youth Soccer Assciation (FYSA) "E" license, and I have coached at the youth competition level. So far while coaching, I won a couple of titles for my team, which was a great accomplishment for me as a coach. I have worked mostly with U7-U11 players, but I have personal trained other ages as well. Also, I have coached during Spring, Winter and Summer camps, which is for all ages.
I started playing soccer at 3 years old, which is when I fell in love with the sport. At 6 years old, I started to play competitively in Peru, where I was born. I've played in my school team in Peru, where I have finished top scorer in my league and won a championship. I also played in a club team during my time in Peru. When I got to Miami, I continued to play. When I was 15, I played on the Cagliari U18 team, which was connected to the professional team in Italy. With them, I won the Disney showcase, which was an experience I am very grateful for. I continued to play soccer during high school at Felix Varela Senior High, where during my senior year, I won Regionals with my team and we got 2nd place at States. After high school, I continued to play, but unfortunately, I have not had the chance to play professionally yet. I broke my ankle when I was 20, which caused me to miss a year of playing soccer. When I got back to doing what I love, I started to work on getting back into shape. Currently, I am playing with a competitive adult league, and I strive every day to accomplish my dreams of playing professionally.
As a coach, my main goal is to perfect the player's technical skills. I start my session by having the player warm up for 5-10 minutes by either dribbling or juggling the ball. Then, I do 10-15 minutes of basic technical/tactical drills including zig zag ladders, flags, etc. After those drills, we go straight to what we need to work on specifically. During the last 5-10 minutes, we will do shooting drills or small games that include the technical/tactical skill that we worked on during the session. Before the session, I like to meet with the player, or the player's parent, to discuss the specific area that they want to work on.

Coach Jherson is a awesome! Our daughter really enjoys her sessions with him. She has learned so much just in the little time she has been training with him. If you want a coach who is dedicated and will help your child excel to the next level then this is the right coach for you!
Javier Suarez / Director of Coaches at Soccer 5 Tropical (Testimonial)
As a coach, your dedication to having a player succeed, is inspiring. You truly do not give up on any player. You see potential in anyone. During your one on one training with players, you love working on exactly what they need to improve. You get right to the root of the problem, and fix it. You are known for turning players around, and making them better players all around. You have had many success stories, and I have no doubt that you will continue to.
Abel Gutierrez / U16-U19 Coach (Testimonial)
You are a very hard working player and very dedicated. You are a team player, and are always willing to help your teammates when needed. You have been playing for a very long time, and it shows when you have the ball at your feet. Your love for the sport is a great thing to see.
