I have over 8 years of coaching experience, in those 8 years I have been fortunate to help hundreds of players develop and assist them in reaching their athletic goals. I hold multiple coaching/educator qualifications, including qualifications from Brazil, Spain and here in the US. Whether new to the game or an player, I work on all the attributes needed to succeed in the game.
I started my playing career at the Famed Escuela Municipal in Michoacan, Mexico before moving to Guadalajara, Mexico. In Seattle I continued playing for teams such as Crossfire and Emerald City before playing college soccer at Bellevue and Everett.
My sessions are tailored to the skill level of the player, I do not train a beginner like I would train a pro. My sessions are focused on improving the following attributes;

I can’t say enough good things about Coach Javi and the Seattle Futbol Academy. My 13 y/o son Bobby has been having ‘Pro’ or ‘Elite’ (1:1) training sessions with Javi for 3-4 months now, and Bobby has improved out of sight. Javi designs well-thought-out sessions that help improve Bobby’s fitness, agility, and technical skills like passing, close control, shooting, or whatever the player needs to work on. Bobby has also previously participated in small group training with SFA, and Javi uses the extra players to add new dimensions to strategies or skills that he’s teaching the players while managing them well – he’s strict but super friendly.
