More About Coach Javier
I have 8 years experience coaching varsity high school soccer and track and field. I also have coached community college level soccer for about 5 years now. As a High School Varsity Head Coach I have won 3 CIF CHAMPIONSHIPS, and helped many athletes move on to 4-year and 2-year institutions to continue their careers. I am a credentialed Mathematics Teacher, as well as a NFHS Soccer Coach and USSF Licensed coach.
As an athlete, I received Varsity Letters in High School Football, Soccer and Track and field. Having held records in the triple jump, 300 hurdles and 110 high hurdles at the high school level. At the collegiate level I captained Rio Hondo College Mens Soccer Team 2 years to a top15 ranking in the nation, and competed for the UCLA Division 1 Track and Field Team. I was also a licensed Amateur Boxer for 3 years.
The session will depend on a clients needs, but for the most part it will include warm up, focus on technique, applying the technique, game scenario, and conditioning.

Client Reviews
Patrick (CoachUp client)
Coach Javier was great with my 9 year old son. He was on time, explained how he likes to approach training, asked which areas we wanted to work on and tailored the program to my son. I highly recommend him.
Alejandra (CoachUp client)
A very knowledgeable coach. He explains how drills are applied to game play. Really works out the player in an effective and efficient manner. After two sessions, I can already see my daughter apply what she had learned. Definitely recommend coach Javier to any player looking to work in techniques and improve on speed.

EL MONTE — There are few coaches in any sport with the passion of El Monte High School boys soccer coach Javier Aguiniga. Even Lions football coach Joel Sanchez marveled at it before the Vikings’ boys soccer match against Mountain View on Tuesday, explaining how Aguiniga returns from a morning jog to talk soccer. I don’t follow a lot of soccer,” Sanchez said. “But he goes on and on about it. Soccer’s always on his mind.” Aguiniga used that energy and passion as a co-head coach with Mountain View’s Felipe Corona to help the Vikings win three CIF championships.
