I have completed 2 half marathons and 1 marathon.

I primarily focus on sport psychology consulting within the CoachUp program. I will incorporate mental skills like goal setting, concentration/refocusing routines, energy management, productive self-talk and other skills. Each sessions will be 30 mins or 55 mins long sessions in duration and in a 1-on-1 setting (Zoom or In-person). I typically use worksheets, diagrams, and sport related examples to teach mental skills and provide homework for the athlete to continue their use of the mental skill. I have also developed my own athlete assessment plan, which will measure the progress of the athlete over multiple sessions. Additionally, I perform a needs assessment through motivational interviewing techniques and provide mental skills training in the moment. I will tailor skills to be used by the athletes' in their particular sport(s) and how to use the skills in future practice/competition settings. In addition to my mental skills training, I will leverage my skills as a track/cross country coach, basketball coach, personal trainer, and nutrition consultant to provide an overall athlete service.

Client Reviews

Jason helped me a lot with my anxiety and confidence on the racquetball court by giving me realistic and practical tools to use on and off the court. We used things such as a refocus routine, changing negative talk to positive talk, audio recordings, body scans, and breathing. If you are struggling with any sports anxiety I recommend Jason for your sports psychology needs.
