More About Coach Jamie
I am a former NCAA Division II softball player for the Wingate University. I played catcher and DH. At Wingate I was apart of two NCAA Championship wins and competed in the NCAA Division II regional tournaments.
I have worked with Wingate Softball camps coaching ages 7-17. I enjoy working with any age group and adjust workouts accordingly to age and what specifically they are looking to improve upon (a specific position, basics, technique, power hitting)
I believe building your strength and technique is important and will help with softball as well as any other sport.
I am not the type of coach to stand on the sidelines the whole practice I will jump in and throw or hit with you to give you a sense for competition or demonstrate the workout. In addition, I observe your form to see where there can be adjustments to improve your hitting and fielding.
In addition to being a catcher for Wingate, I have also played and started at all positions in High School. With my knowledge behind the plate, and experience on the mound, I can coach in all positions requested, including pitching. I also will be able to give extensive hitting lessons in both power hitters and slappers.
