I have coached professional fighters and amateur fighters from everywhere, from fighters in Phoenix AZ, New Orleans LA, Cleveland OH, Pensacola FL, etc. I work with all age groups.

My name is Hurricane James Walton. I was a professional fighter in the mid 90’s and late 2000’s. As an amateur boxer, I had about 85 fights. In addition, I won numerous boxing tournaments including 4 Golden Gloves championships, 4 Ohio Fair State championships, 5 Lake Erie championships, and 1 National P.A.L. Championship in 1993.

I turned professional in 1996 in Pensacola Florida under Square Ring/Roy Jones jr. then became staple mate and sparring partner for Roy Jones. As a professional fighter, I went 17-0 before losing in a title fight to O’Neil Bell for the NABF cruiserweight championship, in 2000. After losing my first fight I came back to Cleveland and took some time off. In 2001, I was offered a sparring partner opportunity with Iron Mike Tyson in Phoenix Arizona. After the Mike Tyson camp, I made the transition from cruiserweight to heavyweight. I won my first heavyweight fight at the Paris Casino in Las Vegas Nevada, not shortly afterwards, I signed a promotional contract with Cedric Kushner Promotions. With an 18-1 record I was in line to fight some major contenders, that’s when I first got my opportunity to really showcase my talents. I fought as the Co-Main event at Caesar’s Palace, in Vegas, on Fox Sports.

I train fighters to have the proper form. You must have a solid foundation if you want to be successful in this sport. Boxing is a marathon not a race. Anybody can show you how to throw a punch, but not everybody can tell you why you should throw that punch. So if you are serious and want to improve, I'm your man.
