More About Coach Jack

I am a fully insured National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in speed, agility, and explosiveness. I offer both group work and individual instruction on footwork and agility, explosiveness training, and speed. I have experience training athletes of all ages, from pee-wee athletes (age 6-14) to Division 1 collegiate athletes.

A lifelong athlete, I have played almost every sport on two feet at some point. I have been playing football and lacrosse since age 8, and played lacrosse during my four years at SUNY Oswego, where I graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in health science.

By examining each student’s particular skill set and goals, every training session will be carefully designed to emphasize their natural strengths and improve upon weaker areas to produce a high-performing, well-rounded athlete. To produce a dynamic training experience, each training session is designed differently depending on a number of factors. However, every training session has the same general structure.

Each training session will begin with a dynamic warm up, which is designed to increase the heart rate and prevent injury. This is followed by a brief introduction to the rest of the session, emphasizing the workouts that will be performed, how to perform them, and why they are beneficial to different scenarios in different sports. Finally, the bulk of each session will focus on footwork, speed, and agility drills, which are sometimes blended into engaging games and competitions among students. These workouts take advantage of various pieces of training equipment such as agility cones, speed ladders, and sprinters’ parachutes. Throughout the session individual students may be pulled aside for personalized attention to address weaknesses, and/or use this opportunity to educate the entire class on a particular focus point.

Client Reviews

Jack is great! My kids love working with him and he is on time, courteous and enthusiastic about what he does .

Jack has provided me with an almost-instant insight into how to move quickly and more efficiently. You really don't know how much a private coach helps until you have someone watching your every move and giving you feedback every step of the way.
