More About Coach Ian
My Coaching Experience has varied since starting at 17 Years old. I am from Scotland, and played for the Youth Academy and Reserve Team for Ayr United Football Club in the 1st Division in Scotland. Through training full time with the club i worked towards my SFA 1 and 2. Which allows me to coach both 7v7 and 11v11 teams and ages. I have worked at High School Level in California and also currently working with LA Galaxy where i will be continuing my coaching Badges and giving my clients more vital information to get them to the next level. Whatever that may be!
. Won the Land o' Burns tournament in Scotland with my Ayr Boswell Club team (Biggest Tournament in Britain)
. Captain of both my Club and High School teams
. Played with Ayr United Football Academy 15- 18s and captained the team from u16-18
. Played for a year at the Reserve Level against the likes of Rangers and Celtic in Glasgow
. Had one first team call up in Pre-season for Ayr United
. Played For Marymount College in Los Angeles and was a Regular Starter
My session plan varies on who my client is, ill figure out what level your at through starting with some basic fundamental drills in our first session together. I.e can we turn of our back foot and move into a positive space away from any oncoming player, or do we have the ability to use our peripherals and work on our passing range to find players on the field quicker through drills devised specifically for you. Once we figure these things out, ill make sure to stay on top of your strength and conditiong for soccer and keep a weekly/monthly update progress chart for you to view and get you to where you want to be. End of the day, ill watch you play for your club teams/college and analyze how you play and what we can improve on together as a team.
