More About Coach Helmis
During my college soccer years in Virginia and my professional soccer career in the US and Europe, I have worked soccer camps and individual personal training with children, teenagers, and adults.
I grew up playing in Virginia and was a member of the Washington Diplomats in the NCSL. I attended and played for George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University. After college I was drafted by Chivas USA, an expansion team in MLS in Los Angeles, CA, and later moved to play in Europe for teams in Iceland, Denmark, and Norway.
In order to become a great soccer player not only do you need to be fit, but you also need to have the technical skills with a keen vision of the game. I focus solely on building and assessing technical skills that could take you up to a professional level. Whether you want to play recreational or compete at a high level, I will walk you through a set of skills and techniques that players need in order to build the confidence and ability to play at any stage of the game. No, I cannot make miracles nor promise you that you will play at the highest level, but if you have what it takes, I can definitely prepare you for it.
My sessions:
1. Warm-up: jogging and exercising for 15mins.
2. Stretch to prep your muscles for the session.
3. Work on passing and trapping skills and techniques.
4. Juggle the ball to judge your level and improvements necessary.
5. Work on shooting techniques.
6. At the end, we will do a cool-down and discuss future personal goals.
7. You will receive a skills sheet for you to practice at home.
