More About Coach Heidi
I have done private coaching, clinics, and camps, since I stopped playing professionally in 2008. I have coached all ages, from 6 years old to college players. I was the Hawaii Pacific University beach volleyball coach for 2 years, and have been coaching many clinics and camps in Hawaii, Northern California and Southern California.
I played 4 years at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. I played on the AVP tour for 6 years and then played on the FIVB tour for 2 years representing the Philippines. I was a nominee for Rookie of the Year on the AVP tour. I've competed in the Asian Games and the Southeast games where we won the bronze medal.
My lesson plans depends on what my client wants to work on. We will do a warm up, and some dynamic stretching, then start on the basics on the skill, the form, the technique, and drills to build the skill. I believe in hard work and pushing yourself, but at the same time enjoying the love for the game.
