More About Coach Hayden

Former Harvard University Soccer Mens College Team coach and Peking University Mens Soccer Team Coach. Both teams were coached to the Harvard Intramural finals and Peking University Cup semi-finals. With both squads I ran weekly and bi-weekly group training sessions (and supplemental individual where required) and managed game formations, substitutes and player instructions during each game.

I captained both the Harvard Graduate Design Soccer Team and Peking University Team to the finals of their respective cups. I have also played regularly for non-professional teams Boston and Beijing. I have played and won one professional exhibition match in Xiong'an China against Xiong'an FC.

For individuals I typically train technical ability skills such as ball control, dribbling, shooting and passing. I can also train game fitness and recovery depending on the need.

For groups and squads I run a full 1 hour or 1.5 hour session that I will outline below.

Individual Technical:
- 5-10 minute Warm Up and stretching
- 15 minute rotating cone exercises for dribbling, recieving, passing, Ariel control.
- 8 minute Fartleks
- 20-25 minutes game scenario training (as requested by individual and position they play). Will involve cones, a goal, poles and myself as additional player in exercise as needed.
- 10 minute cool down, stretching and feedback

Group/Team Training: (typical) 1.5 hour session
- 5-10 minute warm up and group stretching
- 7 minutes small cone small group exercises (partial continued warm up part agility training). no ball.
- 7-10 minutes small cone group exercises (same as above but with ball).
- 8 minutes Fartleks
*Water Break* (3-5 minutes)
- group is split into small groups and rotate across 3/4 coned station excersises. 7 minutes per excersice.
Stations typically consist of 3v3 training exercises (complex rondo's/ zoned passing drills/structured movement drills) most exercises are competitive with the opposing team and fast paced.
- 15 minutes 7v7 small field game excersice. 4 goals set up (short axis and long) each time 'goal' is scored through cones that teams axis switches.
* Second water break*
- Group split into rough ability for a final training game (20-25 minutes) Can be 3 teams if needed rotating in shorter periods. Individuals are monitored for feedback if needed.
- Warm down and stretching
