Sessions can be tailored to each individual athlete but as a base starting point I like to use the following template for a 60 minute 1to1
- 13-14 minutes of work followed by 1-2 minutes of rest
- Sessions split into 4 parts with a focus on Ball Mastery, First Touch, Passing, Finishing
I would consider my work HIGHLY technical focused as I feel this is often overlooked and with the correct guidance and constant repetition players can develop important parts of their game rapidly. A significant part of the way I train players is through ball mastery and learning how to manipulate the ball in various ways with speed & game realistic intensity.
Players will be given moves/skills to be repeated as homework and will be challenged to do this as much as possible. I will be pushing for players to take what they learn within sessions and focus on this away from the field in their own time as this creates a more positive learning experience for them.
