More About Coach Sriram

Having played defensive, distributing, and attacking roles throughout my career, I have a well rounded view of soccer that allows me personalize training as much as possible. I am new to private soccer coaching, but I have coached youth at various levels. As a player at St. Louis Scott Gallagher, I assisted in coaching elementary and middle school kids during technical training and soccer school. And as a player at Marquette High School, I trained Junior Varsity and Freshmen soccer players during the summer and the off-season.

I have been competing in soccer since before I could walk. Most of my youth club career was spent at St. Louis Scott Gallagher, where my team competed in various leagues such as the NPL, ECNL, MRL, and many state cups. In my last club season as a sophomore in high school, we achieved 3rd place at the NPL Finals in San Diego. As a high school soccer player at Marquette, my accomplishments included:
- 4 year varsity player
- 1st Team All Conference, District, Region, and All-State
- Captain and Most Valuable Player my senior year
- Athlete of the Month

Each session begins with a warmup that consists of active stretching and soccer fundamentals. Soccer fundamentals include 1st touch work, quick passing, and footwork. The remaining time will be spent on position specific drills: goalkeeping, defense, midfield work, and wide play and striking. No matter what skill we are working on, strength training will be integrated into all aspects of training. Balance work, upper body training, and lower body training can all be done effectively on the soccer field. The end of each session will consist of integrating everything we have worked on so far into a short sided game.
