More About Coach Hannah

I have been coaching soccer since I was 14 years old. I realized that I wanted to get better at soccer, and under the guidance of my coaches, I began shadowing them before and after my training sessions, usually on the field for over 8 hours a day. Teaching another player about tactical skills and ball movement allowed me to become a stronger, more well rounded player, which in turn, allowed me to become a better coach every time.
I have coaches ages U10 to U18, indoor and outdoor. I typically coach ages U13 and U14, but have experience in all ages. Shadowing under my club coaches for over 10 years has allowed me to continue my clubs' style of coaching, skill expectations, and enjoyment of the game.
I have coached for Keliix Intra Soccer club for over 10 years (Minneapolis, MN), National Sports Center recreational teams (Blaine, MN), Chaffee County United for 1 season (Salida, CO), and have been a private coach for many players.

I played center mid for Keliix Intra club from U11 to U17, played for John F Kennedy Senior High School (Bloomington, MN) from 8th grade to my junior year, then transferred to Shattuck St. Mary's (Fairbault, MN) for my senior year in high school. Shattuck St. Mary's is a coeducational boarding school that has a focus on specific athletics, including soccer. Upon graduation, I attended Western Illinois University (Macomb, IL), a Division 1 college in the Summit League. There, I played center mid, received academic-athletic awards every semester, traveled to every game in the 4 years, and graduated top of my class with an Anthropology degree and a 3.87 GPA.
Between the lines of my youth soccer career, I was on the regional team for Minnesota's Olympic Development Program (ODP) from 2006 to 2010, and devoted my "free" time to practicing soccer with my dad, the wall, and any pick up soccer games I could find. Post-youth career, along side my college time, I played abroad in Belfast, Ireland in the summer of 2011, and coached youth in Macomb, IL.

My goal is to train soccer players to grow and exceed their abilities through tactical, technical, agility, and game vision training sessions; I have a deep-rooted focus on ball movement at a players feet. I have an endless passion and respect for soccer, and am a very energetic and involved coach.
I enjoy hands-on coaching. The purpose of my training sessions are to create strong connection with the ball, so every movement will be looked at and corrected as needed to continue successfully. I deliver small footwork training, and technical ball movement. Training sessions will include wall-ball work including but not limited: to small/medium/long bounce touches; one-touch, two-touch, and creative-touch ground passes; shots focused specifically on the shape of the foot, follow through of the leg, and movement of the upper body; touches on all surfaces of foot; practice of the different forms of trapping. Additionally, I encourage participation in fast footwork and agility with a ladder and ball work between cones.
I am interested in what each player would like to work on, and we can easily adapt each training session to the needs and wants.

Coach Hannah was fun, very energetic and was highly focus. She was correcting and fixing little nuances that showed improvement right away. She came with a set plan so little time was wasted. And he explanation of the drills and the impact of those drills was also a good touch.
