More About Coach Haley
Starting at the age of 19 (back in 2013) I went all in and coached my own team for the first time. I chose a team in the city who had been known for coming in last place. Within just one season with the team, I got them to a championship game. After the teams season ended, I continued to do skill specific training sessions with them and with ages from 6-16 no matter their skills knowledge. Since then, I’ve ran my very own soccer camps with ages from 4-17 with the help of my former college teammates. In 2017 I assisted coaching a club team who were in their junior and senior years of high school so I could be a mentor and help them get ready for college ball. Along with coaching them, I also assisted coaching the University team in the city!
I started playing soccer at the age of 4 and still currently play. I grew up playing recreational ball until I got invited to play for the Olympic Development Team in middle school. After playing for them, I later played club soccer as captain of all my teams until I went off to college. I’ve won MVP of many club showcases and tournaments. I went off to college on scholarship to Eastern NM University from 2012-2014 then transferred to Texas A&M Commerce University. We won conference two years at TAMUC along with making it to the Sweet 16 tournament of college NCAA soccer. After college, I began to train and play with the Texas Spurs (semi-pro) until I moved to Canada and played for a semi pro team there.
Each session we will work on a different area of skills to make sure the athlete will become an overall great soccer player in more than just one area. I love seeing a good player that can do more than pass, dribble, or shoot. It’s about being in shape, knowing where to look and what to expect in a match, and having control. I try to teach the game at a higher level to always prepare them for the next level they’ll be at to be a step ahead.
