Founder / Technical director of PD1 soccer Club based in Southlake, Texas. Established 2022.

Soccer is my life and has been from an early age. I come from Belfast, Northern Ireland where soccer is embedded in culture. Since moving to the United States in 2015 after graduating, I have worked with various Clubs across the Tri-state area. I have coached pre-K through u19 Varsity and consider my coaching abilities to be well rounded, having worked with all age groups and both recreational and competitive level players.

Until June 2020 I worked in Larchmont Mamaroneck FC where I was head coach of 5 travel soccer teams. I also coached with the National Center of Excellence Program (NCE). I have now moved to Fort Worth TX

I played then for East Belfast getting selected for the NI Amateur league U21 side to represent NI in a country select amateur tournament in Italy. I played in college for University of Central Lancashire however decided to focus fully on a career within Soccer coaching and now play in recreational Co-ed soccer leagues.

My aim for each session is that every player has fun, is challenged and working hard. I like to make each session as game specific as possible, relating every activity back to playing within a game situation.
I like to focus on 1-on-1 game situations where players can use skills to evade pressure and beat opponents, encouraging them to be creative and express themselves on the field.
I also enjoy working on short/long passing, and all types of first touch and receiving skills. First touch to protect, to beat immediate pressure and to prepare into a new space.
Position specific sessions are also available. I have experience in and enjoy working on finishing with forward players. Goalkeeper sessions and defense and wide midfield sessions.
Older Players (13-18+) I will include a dynamic warm up, including a ball where possible and

Client Reviews

To whom it may concern; Gregg Megaw has been my son’s soccer coach since the 2018 fall season for the Larchmont Mamaroneck Football Club. I can unequivocally say that Gregg represents the best of what a coach can be, not just for soccer, but for any sport that my son or daughter have participated in. His knowledge of the game, ability to share and teach that knowledge, and his demeanor allow him to strike a fantastic balance between pushing the children to learn the game, play the game, and love the game. He garners both admiration and respect from the children and the parents, not any easy task in this age of Helicopter parenting! I would also add that Gregg’s positive attitude, desire to learn and share knowledge, and his dedication to the endeavors he takes on all show me that he has the innate skills and personality to succeed in whatever endeavors he chooses. Suffice it to say, Gregg will be sorely missed by my son, his teammates and all the other teams that he coached. For all the above, I recommend Gregg without hesitation and with the utmost of enthusiasm for whatever professional challenges he chooses to take on. If you have any further questions, would like additional information, or to discuss anything I have said above, please feel free to email or call me. Kind Regards Lee Bloch
To Whom it May Concern, I have had the pleasure of knowing Gregg for the past 3 years. During this time he has coached both my sons. My elder son Charlie is now 15 and had Gregg as a coach for 2 years while playing for LMFC. Charlie now plays for NYSC. My younger son George is 10 and plays for LMFC on a team currently coached by Gregg. Gregg is equally at home discussing tactics and formations with Charlie as he is inspiring George to work on the technical side of his game. I am always amazed at how Gregg handles both age groups so effortlessly. Over the years I have watched many of the boys practices with a variety of different coaches and I have to say Gregg’s practices rate among the best of them. His sessions are incredibly well prepared, organized, structured and focused. He maintains a fantastic energy and intensity throughout. Both Charlie and George love how varied, stimulating and engaging Gregg's practices are. Both my sons have commented on Gregg's fantastic pitch side manner. They love how he gives his players clear direction and positive encouragement. Gregg’s patience and ability to clearly demonstrate the technical aspects of the game combined with his passion, dedication and enthusiasm has drawn the best from both my boys. He has had a huge impact on both of them and I feel privileged to have had him coach both Charlie and George. Gregg would be an asset to any club. I can confidently recommend him. Please do not hesitate to call me if you would like to discuss my recommendation further. Sincerely yours, Graham Miles
