More About Coach Giuliano

I am the founder of GSS Sport Soccer Academy (Instagram: @gsssporttraining) where I work with both ameture and professional players ranging from goalkeepers to field players. I currently work with FC Westchester and Iona University Men's Soccer as a Goalkeeper Coach and have also worked with other MLS Next Teams. Throughout my years as a coach I have also worked at New York Soccer Club, Lansdown Yonkers FC, New Rochelle Soccer Club, Just Play Soccer Academy, Yorktown Youth Soccer Club, and more. I typically work with all ages as I even train professional players that are older than me. At the moment I do not have any certificates as a coach but my companies instagram page will speak for itself. I pride myself in the ability to develop all players that have worked with me.

I was the starting goalkeeper as a youth soccer player at New York Soccer Club and Beachside Soccer Academy where I won many State Cup, Regininal, and National Tournaments including the Dallas Cup and more! I went on to play Division 1 soccer at Iona University where I broke many records which include shutouts per season, minutes played, and was named Goalkeeper of the Decade. As the starting goalkeeper for Iona Men's Soccer, we won the MAAC Championship for the first time in the program history and went on to play in the NCAA Tournament. After my junior year and during COV-19 I left to SOuth America where I signed my first Professional contract with Patriotas Boyaca FC in la Liga Betplay Dimayor. If you look my name up on google I am known for being the first American Goalkeeper in history to sign a first division contract in Colombia. I then went on to play professional at La Luz Sad FC in Uruguay and came back to New York to play for NYCFCll in the inaugural season of the MLS Next Pro league. I recently retired in 2023 to focus on my business ventures. I was a true blessing as a short goalkeeper to have played in every level that US Soccer has to offer. I dealt with lots of obstacles and adversity throughout my journey and I try to guide all my students to always believe in themselves as the soccer world is tuff.

Clients can expect the intense 1 on 1 training sessions in the Yorktown Heights, Westchester County, New York. Our goalkeepers and players of all positions can expect a balance of technical, physical, and mental intensity as drills are made for the player to think of solutions and not just be told what to do as robots. Coach Giuliano has helped my 12U son grow into a confident keeper. As a coach he holds the kids accountable during training but also encourages them as they struggle and evolve. He always finds unique ways to get the keepers flying during practice, which is what they really love to do anyway.

During my time training with GSS I learned a lot and gained a lot of experience. You are taught a lot of core values, such as consistency and hard work. The environment is that of a family in which you are constantly working together and supporting each other. You are taught that mistakes are not something to dwell on but instead learn from.
My son Aidan is 11 years old and plays for FC Westchester. He started training weekly with Giuliano Santucci as part of FCW's goalkeeper clinics. I quickly noticed that on nights where Aidan had his goalie specific training, he wanted to arrive early and was excited to get to the field. After every practice his response to me when asked "how was practice" was consistently "it was great and a lot of fun." In addition, you could see his technique improving and results were seen on the field. In addition to the Clubs training, Aidan also did private, one on one training and have used many coaches in the past. When asked who he would like to use this season, Aidan requested Coach Santucci. GSS Sport offered us flexibility with both location and timing given our busy schedules and also provided multiple coaching options specializing in various skills. While it's nice to train outside, the winter months make it problematic and finding indoor locations are difficult. Understanding that, GSS Sport got creative and built a fun indoor space to train during these months. Lastly, Coach Santucci is always using video not only as a teaching tool but runs numerous social media sites posting his goalkeepers highlights and bloopers which makes it really fun for the kids. I highly recommend GSS Sport for any goalkeeper looking to improve and have fun.
