More About Coach Emily

I coach in my hometown of Galveston, Tx at the Lassie League Softball fields where I personally grew up playing ball.

I started my coaching career in 2008 with 4 year old softball girls and have moved up an age group almost every year! This season I have a 12 and under spring ball team as well as a 14 and under Select Softball Team, "American Thunder".

I have coached kids aging from 4-18 and enjoy every minute of it! I am also certified in CPR and a certified personal trainer.

I have a true passion for softball and have been playing for about twenty years. In high school I received MVP and 2nd Team All-District. Our high school team won the District Championship 2007-2009 and State Championship 2007-2009. I have had the privilege to play in various cities and states with my travel teams as well.

•A typical first session with me would begin with basic drills to gauge the player's strengths and areas of improvement.
•I always like to start off with a warm-up exercise to avoid injury.
•Drills will vary depending on what the specific lesson is on, and what the player needs practice in.
•Typically I like to start practice by warming up arms first (throwing drills to make sure the throw is accurate) then do a fielding drill, followed by different types of hitting drills (hitting off the T or live batting practice) and ending with base running drills.
•I try and teach the kids about taking turns, using manners, being supportive teammates, and they have fun while they are learning!

Client Reviews

Great coach

Coach Emily is a great coach! My daughter really enjoys her lessons with her. My daughter has learned a lot!

Emily's knowledge and patience make her a wonderful coach! I have seen great improvement in both my girls after just two sessions! Definitely recommend!

My son loves being able to practice with you during his off season. Baseball in Texas City isn't offered in the fall, so I'm so glad he's able to stay engaged every week. :) Thanks Em!
