More About Coach Ellie

I coached a few youth teams of u9-u13 boys while I was in college at Penn State. These teams played for Celtics SC. I also was an intern and coached u-17 and u-19 girls for my old club team in Virginia (FC Virginia Girls Academy). I typically work with a wide variety of kids ranging from ages 9-17 years old.

I played four years of collegiate soccer at Penn State University. I was a four-year starter there and also competed for U.S. Youth National teams at the u15, u17, and u23 age groups. In college I got defensive MVP my freshman year. I was a four-time BIG10 All-Academic. I entered the NWSL draft this year and was picked 18th overall and am now currently here in Kansas City for my rookie year playing for the Kansas City Current.

The first few sessions would be mainly technical-based to see where the client is at and what areas need the most help and improvement. Once I get an idea of where they are at then the sessions will become more individualized. I also like to get client intake on where they want to improve and certain areas of the game they want to work on. This helps me create drills that are game-like for the client. I like to be involved in the trainings and participate with the client as well. I also like working on speed and agility which are crucial parts of the game. A lot of sessions will be dependent on the client and their interests. I am just there to help them in whatever way I can and to try and make it as enjoyable as possible!
