More About Coach Drew

I’ve been coaching individual skill sessions since I was about 15 years old. I’ve also run my own camps for ages 12-18 during my off-seasons.

In 2012 I was named Gatorade Illinois boys high school soccer player of the year, as well as USSDA academy’s best 11. During my time at the Chicago Fire academy I also won a national championship. I was ranked the top player in the Midwest for my high school graduating class, and continued my career at the university of Wisconsin, where I earned All Big 10 honors. I signed professionally with the Chicago Fire of MLS in 2016 and made 32 appearances over my 3 year contract. I played the 2019 season overseas in the Czech Republic, and just recently signed with Indy Eleven.

The sessions will be unique to each athlete. I will use the first session to determine what level I believe the player is at, by putting them through a series of fundemental exercises. After I have a clear assessment of where they are at, I can begin to take them through the same steps that I followed as a youth player, that allowed me to have an edge on all of my peers.

Client Reviews

Great temperament. Knows his stuff and very focused on improving and not just doing drills.

A product of the Chicago Fire Academy, playing three years with their first team, Drew brings experience and perspective to training. Prior to joining the Fire he was a four year starter at the University of Wisconsin, where he first encountered the Winning Ways method shortly after completing his eligibility. Since then he has returned to, and adopted, the program philosophy and now serves as co-director of Player and Brand Relations or Winning Ways Training. Drew is currently in his second season with Indy Eleven, where he was a key contributor to a 2019 playoff run that ended one game short of the USL championship final.
