More About Coach DeVante

I have worked with youth up to the age of 17. While a collegiate athlete at Cal, I helped run the youth camps during the summers. I have been a personal sports performance coach for the past year and I love it!

High School All-American
Junior College All-American
Full ride scholarship to play for USC, transferred to Cal and finished collegiate career and graduated from there. I was invited to camp with the 49ers and Lions. My senior year at Cal I was honored with the the Strength and Conditioning excellence award from my coaches. I was chosen to represent my team at the PAC 12 media days before my senior season.

I typical session with me includes a thorough dynamic warm up to get the athlete loose and ready for the workload of our session. Then I will do some specific drills to work on explosion, speed, change of direction, reaction timing, agility. These drills translate to all sports because in order to be great at any sport you have to be able to move. I finish with conditioning drills and core exercises, and a stretch. My workouts are designed to push the athletes to their limits in a safe manner.
