I've lead group training for general fitness as well as mentoring others while on 15-20 mile runs as well as leisurely 4 mile jogs, 100 mile bike training sessions as well as open water swimming in the ocean. I have a B.A. in Psychology, I've taken college Anatomy & Physiology I & II. Ages 25-50 age group. Seacoast, NH area.

I run 10-12 marathons/ultramarathons a year on top of 10+ 100-153 mile bike rides, completing many many 1-3 mile swims, I do a lot of agility work and powerlifting, trail, road running and I am sponsored for my next Ironman which will be IM Coeur D'Alene June 29, 2014.

Keep it simple. Quality over quantity with some occasional high intensity training. More volume for ultradistance. More intensity for shorter sprint and Olympic distances. Some data can be helpful, but I tend not to focus or worry about data so much that the training becomes a drudgery. I like being creative and keeping it fun.
