More About Coach Dave
I’ve spent the last 8 years coaching 1-1 sessions on and off/in and out of season. I’ve coached all ages from 2-18, from grade school to high school.
I’ve coached with an organization called Soccer Shots, and high schools like the JV team at Bishop Eustace HS and the freshman team at Haddonfield Memorial High School. I work most frequently with middle school and high school athletes. I’ve coached in West Chester PA and various towns in NJ like Bordentown, Cherry Hill, Pennsauken, and Haddonfield.
I spent four years at Cherry Hill HS West playing as a winger or central midfielder on a modest team of athletes, only making it through to the second round of playoffs once.
I played on West Chester University’s men’s club team, playing as a striker, right winger and central midfielder.
3 pillars of sessions: SPORT (shooting, passing, technique, athleticism, movement on/off ball, ball skills), FITNESS (speed, agility, acceleration, turns, competitiveness, endurance), and CHEMISTRY (fun, developing passion/inspiration, team unity).
My sessions consist of a variety of aspects depending on the needs, skills, and field position of the athlete: simple play, small side games (3v3, 1v1, etc.), long runs, short sprints, reading the game/tactical intelligence, bodyweight exercises, etc.
