More About Coach Daniel
I have always enjoyed coaching starting at the college Division 1 level as an assistant track and field coach for Idaho State University while working on my Masters. I have coached both sprinters and middle-distant runners and have an understanding on how to prepare runners for peak performance.
I also have 11 years of experience coaching the following youth sports:
Basketball
Baseball
Track
Soccer
This year I was the head coach of the Wilson 7th Grade Competitive boys basketball team and I am currently coaching Baseball (Youth Majors). This summer I will put on my 4th annual Speed camp.
I ran track for Idaho State University. Honors include:

1992 Canadian Olympic Trials Qualifier

Instruction/Game plan – 5 min
-Sit swinging arms in running motion – 5 min
Warm up – 20 min
-Jog to goal post and back – 3 min
-Stand tall, bouncing on your toes – 3 min
-High knees – walk 3 min
-Bouncing high knees and kick 3 min
-Stretch drills – form – Walk 3 min
-Run Form Pause – 3 min
Water – 3 min
Stations 15min
Quick – Ladders = 5 min
1. Quick feet x3
2. Hop 4 times then quick feet x2
3. Side quick feet, 2 feet in x2
4. Side – two feet in, 2 feet out
Explosion – 10 yards = 5 min
1. Frog jumps x2
2. Double arm, single leg bounds x2
3. Two leg bounds for distance x2
Form – 20 yards = 5 min
1. Exaggerated running bounds (alternating legs) x2
2. Power skips for height and distance x2
3. Straight leg run – toes pointing upward…focusing on swinging arms x2

Sprints – 10 meters – (drive phase 1) x6 10 min

Run/quick step/ Run – 40 meters – (r 20 – q 10 – r 10) x 4 10 min
