More About Coach Dana

I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, primarily focusing on strength and conditioning. I have worked with clients of all ages, with a particular focus on young adults.

I am a marathon and short distance runner, as well as an avid soccer player since a very young age. I enjoy activities that combine both running and strength training, and have won the Women's Elite competition Spartan Race, as well as having placed in several races from 5k to half marathon distances.

I begin every training regimen by evaluating form and discussing previous injuries, as well as understanding the specific lifestyle of each client. This allows me to better assess what areas may need specific attention prior to beginning movements. I spend a lot of time focusing on form and eliciting feedback from clients on how they feel moving through each motion prior to progressing difficulty. For some clients, we grow to focus on endurance and strength, while for others we work on power. All clients will practice stability and gain a base level of strength, which is crucial to developing the body in an effort to reach individual goals.
