More About Coach Courtney
I am USA Triathlon, and USA Swimming certified, and have coached in both individual and group settings for both. Personally, I am a semi-professional triathlete from the Grand Rapids area, and still race around the US at the National level. I currently work with private clients, but also have experience coaching age group swim teams, cross country teams, and triathlon clubs.
I competed for the Grand Valley State University Triathlon team, racing competitively on the national level. I also am a member of Team USA, and have raced at the World Championships.
Depending on the client, my sessions generally, a session would compose of a warm-up, drill work, main sets, and a warm down. Everything I plan is individualized for my clients- making sure we improve on the things they need to. I often work technique into a lot of my sessions, and focus on having each set very purposeful and deliberate for the athletes progress.
