More About Coach Corbin

I have a large amount of experience in soccer. I have been playing the sport since I was young. After playing club and high school year round, I received a scholarship to play at Colorado Christian University, a NCAA Division II school that is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. I have coached for a total of six seasons with various clubs and another season at a local high school. I am now a U11/12 coach at the Colorado Rapids.

The emphasis of my sessions are development and improvement. The focus of the first session will be based on the assessment of the athlete then I am able to create sessions tailored to the strengths and weaknesses of the athlete.

High School as player:
-KADI Scholar Athlete of the Week (with 2 goals and game winning pk against Marshfield)
-Senior Year tied most goals (8) and most assists (6) on team
-Club team (Total Demize SC) ranked top 50 in nation after being Co-Champions in John Talley Showcase (Memphis, TN)

College as player:
-6 goals and 3 assists in four years
-3 year starter
-3-time All-RMAC All-Academic Team
-Team Captain Senior Year

Coaching Accomplishments:
-Counselor/Coach at popular Summer camp Kanakuk Kamps for two years
-7-2-2 Record in 1st year as Head Junior Varsity Coach at Colorado Academy
-US Soccer "D" License

Practice sessions will depend on the skill-level of the player. However, a typical practice session will include:

1. Warm-up
2. Agilities (Ladders, Plyometrics, Running Technique)
3. Touches on the Ball
4. Special focus for the day (Shooting, Passing, Crossing, Defensive Technique, or Conditioning). This will include one-on-one instruction making sure the player will have detailed instruction and proper technique before moving on.
5. Competition building on special focus (Games, Conditioning, etc.)

As a former player and a current coach, I have realized the importance of proper technique in soccer. If a player has the proper technique in each aspect of their game and a hard work ethic there will be improvement.

Client Reviews

After 5 sessions, Coach Corbin has elevated my 8 year old daughters footwork, shooting and overall confidence in her game. He took a genuine interest in her.

Coach Corbin is an amazing coach. He's patient and make practice fun. My daughter has learned more in the past three sessions then two years of soccer practices.

Our 9 year old son really enjoyed working with Corbin. He showed up prepared and ran very helpful drills which were great for helping developing his skill set while also making it a fun experience.

Coach Corbin was great! He made my kids feel comfortable right away and easily coached both of them at their level. He was prompt, professional and positive.
