More About Coach Colin

I hold my US Soccer National C License and have been coaching for six years. My experience is with Boys and Girls U7-U16. I coach recreational and Club youth at Thunderbird FC in Phoenix, where I am the Technical Director for the club. I have served as JV Head Coach of Xavier College Preparatory, as well.

Four-year collegiate soccer player at DIII University of Redlands. Primary positions were central defense and central holding midfielder. My senior year, I captained our school to an Elite 8 run in the NCAA Championships. I am a Phoenix youth soccer product, playing for Sereno and SC Del Sol. I won Regionals in 2012 and played in Youth Nationals with Sereno. I also won the State Championship for High School my senior year in 2013 with Brophy College Preparatory.

I hold my sessions in North Phoenix. I focus my private sessions to the player's needs. A conversation around the player's individual goals before the session will aid in my planning of the lesson. I am usually active with the player to provide a teammate to the player and more depth to the session. Technique training is the most important part of soccer development, so I spend a lot of time rehearsing specific body functions with the players to achieve desired outcomes (dibbling, skills moves, passing/receiving, shooting, defending, heading, etc).
