More About Coach Chris
I have been a coach in middle TN for the YMCA and Eagle Express coaching U4-U12 age groups. I hold a USSF D License and NSCAA Level 6 plus Goal Keeping 2. I am continuing to develop my coaching and believe the success of future USA Soccer starts with the youth and teaching them fundamentals and love of the sport.
I have played soccer since I was 4 years old. I played in High School and Premier AAA soccer in Indiana as well as playing 2 years at Purdue University Club Team. I remain an active soccer player in local Nashville adult leagues. I believe the combination of former player, current player and current coach give me a solid understanding of the needs of our youth and future soccer stars.
The most important training a player needs is technical development of foundation skills of agility, dribbling, foot skills, 1st touch, passing and shooting. Those are the skills I focus first on with any player at any level.
