More About Coach Charlie

10 years coaching experience. I hold the USSF D-License, USSF Youth Certification, and NSCAA Futsal Diploma. Former NPSL and collegiate player.

I currently coach players ages 3-19, leading NSSA's Junior Academy and Storm Elite Training, as well as many high school and club teams in the past. For three years, I served as Assistant Director of Coaching at LeftFoot Coaching Academy, a nationally-recognized technical soccer training facility.

Soccer is my life, and I'm constantly coaching, playing, watching, or studying the game.

In college, I played DIII soccer at Lakeland College in Wisconsin and club soccer for the University of Minnesota. During the 2011-2013 seasons, I competed at the semi-pro level for Eau Claire Aris FC in the National Premier Soccer League, playing among DI collegiate athletes and future professional players.

I captained the Eau Claire Aris during my final season. In high school, I was named Best Attacking Player and was placed on the conference's Honorable Mention team.

My sessions tend to be very technical, focusing on the little things that make players succeed in the bigger picture. My cutting-edge technical training at LeftFoot Coaching Academy heavily influences the way I design session plans, and I deliver effective sessions you won't see anywhere else. I hold players to high standards while maintaining a fun and engaging environment.

Coach Charlie has a real passion for soccer, is easy to work with, and has a real talent for working with U9 pupils. He has done a great job of helping my son learn technical dribbling skills through both individual practice and by playing games that incorporate these teachings. My son's dribbling noticeably improved after one session with Charlie and another parent asked me what had changed. His son is now joining our sessions with Charlie. He notices when the boys attention is waning and instead of just ploughing forward he reorients the session by playing a quick game incorporating the skills they have just been working on to reinvigorate the boys and keep the session moving in a positive direction.
