More About Coach Cesar

My experience is on competitive travel teams from Under 8 to Under 13's. Boys & Girls / Recretational Beginner soccer players
I have coached with:
- (2015 - 2016 ) Goodwill Industries, Beacon Afterschool program, my role was to teach soccer for after school students of 3rd grade to 8 grade. Weekday classes, i did all the soccer classes in the gymnasium with each class group. Beacon works with the Leader on building a curriculum for the specific club or subject. Every week i would build a curriculum that matched the student's interest.
-(March 2016- September 2017) Asphalt Green Soccer Club ( development program)- This was mainly directed towards afterschool & pre academy players that needed supplemental training. I worked mainly with kids ages 4 to 10 and had a team made up of 8 kids that played every saturday for the Rec League in Asphalt green. We coached under a curriculum that focused on Values and Game understanding, every training session was based on the curriculum we were given.
- (January 2017- September 2018) NYCFC ( Youth programs ) - Coaching clinics, camps & tryouts for ages 7 to 12. I was a camp leader for the summer 2018 wher we had 30 kids coming into our camp. The camp focus was on basic skills, understanding of rules & gamelike experiences for the players. My role was to coach camps in the New york Area of Queens, East Harlem and Randalls Island. We had a curriculum that followed the development of the kids ages, level.
- (August 2018) WestLake Soccer Club ( Summer clinic in 2018 with HS girls ) : I was invited to coach a clinic for WestLake Highschool & Westlake Soccer club where we did a lot of technical drills such as Coerver, lots of 1v1, 2v2 with finishing on goal. We focus also on strength and conditioning as the players were entering their Higschool Soccer Season.
- ( September 2018- Present) Queens United SC ( Currently coaching in the Long island Junior Soccer League )- Coaching with my own curriculum that focuses on Game Moments of Attacking / Losing the ball / Defending / Counter attacking. I am using also the Play-Practice-Play method from my recent coaching course. This club plays competitively in the Long Island Junior Soccer League where i have two teams of U9 and U11. My goal is to go Long term & develop my players all the way to U18s if possible.

Coaching Certifications:
TOPSoccer License 2015
E License 2013
Grassroots 11v11
USSF D LICENSE as of June 2019

I considered my playing style as a creative and aggressive player in the midfield.
I have played until 4 years in Highschool with HS for Arts and Business, my position was of a Right winger where i was very comfortable as it allowed me to create crosses and or cut inside the field to combine with my teammates.
I've played in local clubs and travel teams from 13 to 17 years of age
Travel Teams (Queens) :
Latin Star FC, i entered this club in 2009 when i was 14. I was part of a team that won 3 times consecutively the Flushing League, we then became a travel team playing in the CJSL against different level teams such as Redbulls NY, Downtown United Soccer Club.
Peruvian American SC, this was a progression after playing for Latin Star FC. In Peruvian SC i played only inside the Flushing Soccer leagues and stayed for 2 years until i turned 18.
At 18 years old i started playing in Adult Leagues and kept there until 19.

For Travel team players, club or academy: Ages 8 - 18
Throughout the years I've been coaching, I have created my own method of teaching & curriculum.
My philosophy: A player needs to learn, understand, try and apply.
My Method: Game realistic & Technical/Physical demands
Asking guided questions to open the player onto a self-reflective enviroment
