More About Coach Cassandra
I began coaching high school softball in 2015 at the JV level. In 2016 I was promoted to head varsity Coach. Prior to that I gave softball lessons at Extra Innings in Miamisburg for 3 summers during college and worked several softball clinics during my time playing in college where we would instruct prospective student athletes.
I played 3 years of varsity softball at Carroll High School and then went on to be a four year starter at Ohio Dominican University (division II). At ODU I primarily played catcher with some experience at 1st and 2nd base. My responsibilities included calling pitches and handling the pitching staff as well as controlling the infield and calling plays. I am a right handed line drive hitter and I specialize in the short game.
I am a fundamental-focused Coach. I believe in breaking down and perfecting every movement in order to successfully master a skill. I like to begin sessions assessing where the athlete is starting from and making a detailed plan moving forward. Each lesson will have goals set for the athlete to reach in order to move on to more complicated skills.
