More About Coach Carlos
I have over twelve years experience coaching players from 8 to 50 years old. Being a NASM Certified Personal Trainer I have worked with an array of athletes and skill levels always taking the to new levels of success. I have coached Youth developmental leagues to Club teams including Massapequa, Hewlett, Valley Stream, Plainview soccer club as well as Freeport High School Junior Varsity Team. I typically now focus on U11 and up as it a prime age to develop not only the Technical Side however also the Physical aspect of our athletes. I Currently am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and hold USSF E Licence working toward my USSF D and hold a NSCAA National Diploma and NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.
I have played not only in Youth Developmental programs throughout my career but also Collegiately and Professionally for clubs Santiago Morning in Santiago, Chile and Santiago Wanderers in Valparaiso, Chile. I have earned a number of individual awards as well as team championships. One of my greatest honors is being named team captain on a variety of teams due to my work ethic and passion for the game.
All sessions involve the 4 pillars of soccer Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psycho-Social A typical session starts with a dynamic warm-up that not only warms-up the body for physical but also prepares you mentally for the topic of the day.
Next we Technically prepare you for not only your specific position but design a program to make you a better overall player. As the game keeps evolving and players are being demanded to do more on the field, being polyfunctional is essential to your growth and increasing your stock with coaches and scouts.
Then we address the Tactical portion of your game. Creating Game like situations creating almost a second nature effect come game time. Always emphasizing the transition for defensive to offensive and vise versa making you a more dynamic and dangerous player.
We always finish with a Cool down not only with Active Stretching how ever address the topic of the day to making sure that the principles and concepts of the day are absorbed and understood.
As a Personal Trainer I incorporate Soccer Specific Strength and conditioning to all the sessions as well as Programs Designs for athletes to do in the gym or at home to improve and speed up results
