More About Coach Carlos

I have a Sport & Exercise Science degree. I’ve worked with the strength and conditioning staff at Fordham University working closely with both basketball ball teams, football team and men’s soccer team during the off seasons(2011-2012).I’m a former collegiate baseball player and have worked baseball camps teaching/training kids ages 6-20 throughout my college career and immediately after I graduated. I became a trainer at Crunch gym and worked with the general population along with athletes from ages 6-67. I take a functional approach to training and build the best program for the client at their current level and where they are looking to go.

I was a baseball player from age 8 all throughout college. The last five years of my playing career, I focused on pitching and only pitched my senior year of high school and my whole college career.

Depending on the client’s goals and needs I create a program that’s best suited for the individual. During the first session I do an assessment to see what the client can do and go from there. Each session starts off with an 8-10 min dynamic warm up based on the exercises/drills that will be done for that particular session. The exercises for that particular day will be part of the program I have created that can be shared with the athlete so we’re on the same page as to what will go on during the session. Each session will end with a 5-8 min cool down to help prevent injuries.
