More About Coach Brittany

I have been coaching and training local soccer teams and groups since 2010. I started training boys and girls
ages 2 to 6 with local training company Breakaway soccer and I have since progressed to higher levels including high school. This past Fall I began training the Tottenville Girls Varsity soccer team. I hold a “D” level coaching certificate and a Level 1 & 2 National Soccer Coaches Association of American Diploma. I typically provide one on one training to girls ages 8 to 12 and team training for girls ages 6 to high school. I am also the assistant coach for Tottenville High School's girls Track and Field team.

I attended Tottenville High School where Iwas named captain of the Varsity soccer team as a Junior. I won MVP of team two years in a row as a Junior and Senior. My Senior year I was recognized as “Player of the Week” and “Player to Watch” in the NY Post and I was an “Honorable Mention” in the Daily News. (I also ran Cross Country and Track & Field for the Pirates)
I chose to attend a college with minimal athletics, FIT. During my freshman year I helped develop the first
ever Women’s Soccer team for the school. After one week of tryouts I was named captain of the team and
held the position for my two year stint with the Tigers. My last year I scored the lone goal to lead the team to
the Regional title. While playing for the FIT Tigers I was named to the “All Region” team, received the "Outstanding Senior” award, and was recognized for my student-athlete academics through numerous "All Region Academic” awards and the “Exemplary Academics” award.
I currently play in the Metropolitan league for NYC United

I always begin a session with an extensive full bod warm up which includes light jogging, drills such as high knees, skips, fast feet. lunges, ect followed by sprints and static stretching.
After the full body warm up I move into a technical warm up which can include anything from juggling, toe touches, simple fake outs or moves, and dribbling.
Once the feet have warmed up as well as the entire body the sessions topic can be started. Each session is focused on what the athlete needs. The sessions are tailored specifically for each individual athlete. Topics usually range from defending, attacking, shooting, trapping, speed dribbling, crossing, physicality, moves, to first touch, and so on.
Most sessions will follow with conditioning. Conditioning can include running like sprints or a 1-2 mile run or it can include agility like ladder drills, cone sprint cuts, and box jumps. Conditioning may also include strengthening exercises like crunches, planks, push ups, burpees, ect...
The end of practice will usually entail a game like (usually 1v1) scenario where the topic learned will be put to the test. Every practice is concluded with a review of the day and a light cool down and stretch.

Brittany was able to tell my daughter's strengths and weaknesses almost immediately and knew exactly what to do to work on what she needed. She established a rapport with my daughter very quickly; she had fun but also worked hard and wanted to. She's already looking forward to her next lesson!

Coach Brittany is a very good teacher of the game, honors great conditioning and training, re-addresses proper mechanics in basic fundamentals of soccer, good motivator pushes player along. She address technical and tactical aspects to replicate game-like situations. Necessitates drills to help improve players to be comfortable with the ball.

Coach Brittany was terrific. Very motivated and Ally said she is very dedicated to forming an interesting plan for a soccer workout. She is never bored and does drills seen never experienced before. The conditioning aspect of the workout is wonderful. It inspired Ally to work harder each time. Thank you Brittany! She looks forward to each session!

Brittany is the perfect match for my 12 year old daughter. She knew how to talk with her and get thru to her in a way that made my daughter very excited to learn what Brittany was teaching her. She is very organized and really seems to get thru to kids. I made a good choice selecting Brittany to assist in training my child

My daughter worked with Brittany a year ago. Brittany taught her many skills needed to get on to her travel soccer team. She learned so much from her training. I highly recommend hiring Brittany and look forward to working with her again this year. She is amazing with the kids and very patient and knowledgeable.
