More About Coach Brittany

I've been coaching for more than 5 years, and I've worked with all skill levels. Coaching is a passion that teaches me everyday to love the work that I do. I have worked with High School State champions, I have worked with beginners, and everyone in between. I have experience putting on camps, group and individual lessons. The age groups range from 8 years old to 18 years old, offering pitching, hitting and fielding lessons. I have a bachelors and masters degrees in Kinesiology and minors in health and athletic coaching. My experience as a coach is extensive, and I'm proud of the work I do, being able to watch the kids learn and grow is what makes me that much more excited to have the opportunity to offer softball lessons.

I competed at a NCAA Division II program where I was the starting pitcher as a freshman, moved to the starting 1st baseman and occasional left field for the remainder of my college years. I played for Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. I earned coaches award in 2010, and every year I achieved student-athlete accomplishment. After college I continued on to received my masters degree where I coached High School softball, as varsity assistant coach, we took the state championship, and followed the next two seasons making it to the final four of the state tournament.

A typical session we will focus on warm ups, drills and game situations to finish up.

The beginning of the session will be: warming up our arms, conducting drills such as, wrist flips, half moons (K's), stride practice, the mound push off, arm speed, leg strength, and then ending the session with full pitch rotation.

Fielding and hitting session would run very similar: beginning the session with warm ups, moving into drills and finally live hitting and fielding.
