More About Coach Brian

I have enjoyed being an award winning triathlete and personal trainer for a decade. This success has been developed from personal experiences and lesson plans shared with triathletes as well as methodical training techniques learned from my coach. My coaching style is based on this hands-on experience and is customized to meet many needs. Training athletes of all divisions, age groups, genders and special populations is rewarding for me, as I communicate skillfully with various abilities and levels of understanding in order to help them achieve their goals. Starting with a needs assessment, my focus is on each individual to establish a strong foundation and develop S.M.A.R.T. goals = Specific, Mesurable, Achievable, Rewarding, Timely.

Client Reviews

Initially, I had concerns, as my brother Mark is physically challenged from a debilitating car accident. Brian's been helping with Mark's physical therapy and training which allows him to go back to work in a wheel chair. However, when Mark shows interest in returning time and time again, I know Brian creates the the right setting by making him feel comfortable, while going past his challenges and achieving goals. For the past two years, I've seen improvement in Mark every day and I'm thankful for it. Brian's program has helped given my brother's life purpose and reason to continue on his road to recover from his accident. Brian's completely capable, I trust him & thank him.
Third- place finisher, Hull’s Brian Sampson, who finished in 55:28 is a veteran of the local triathlon circuit, having competed in all seven triathlons at Nantasket. He shaved more than three minutes off last year’s time and was the fastest man from Hull for the fourth consecutive year. “The bike route was pretty treacherous with a lot of wa ter puddled up on certain roads, but the weather turned great after that!” said Sampson, a personal trainer at Planet Fitness who was first in his age group (45-49) and second overall (male). “Today I think I had personal bests in the swim and the run. It’s always a challenging race but there’s a good amount of camaraderie along the way.
Brian was instrumental in my Prehab & Rehab for Total Knee Replacement. I would recommend Brian to anyone as I trust him personally, respect his knowledge & appreciate his friendly approach & enthusiastic motivation techniques. I look forward to his Personal Training and Ski Coaching through many future Ski Seasons .
Brian coached me for my first Sprint Tri & I crushed it! Thanks to him, I beat my goal by 15 minutes? He's likable, knowledgable, pleasantly persistent & most of all effective! I highly recommend him as your Coach. Furthermore, he has recently become my father's Health Coach by helping him prevent pre-Diabetes.
I have known Brian for over 7 years and feel his character, personality and training expertise would be a good fit for any athlete who wants to reach their next level. My son needed strength & stamina conditioning to prepare for a long season of international fencing competitions. Thanks to Brian, his endurance improved as did his confidence and discipline to compete at Olympic levels. He is the first coach I refer all my friends & family to. Subsequently became my sister Jenny's Triathlon Coach.
